Here at window tint training UK we are about more than just your basic training course. As a solo window tinter, I am here to give you everything I wish I had got when I did my training over 10 years ago.

What are window tints? How profitable is it? How much does it cost? What do I need to get started? This will all be covered in this page. So lets get into the fine details.

Firstly, who am I? I am the owner of Lincolnshire Tints Ltd, I have been a full-time window tinter and vinyl wrapper for over a decade now. I have never looked back. The possibilities are great! But there are finer details on the website so go take a look.

What is window tinting?

Put simple you are applying an aftermarket film to car windows, to give them privacy glass. Many reasons! Aesthetics, keeping the car cooler for pets, children. Reducing UV and harmful rays. But more of that on the course! You are darkening the windows of a car or house.

How profitable is it?

Well, let's not get too excited just yet. But a typical window film installation for a factory specification rear end will take a trained professional 2 hours (Ish) and return on average £150-£170 for the job. You can comfortably when fully established be knocking out 4 cars a day, and still be done before 4.00pm if you wanted! But for the start lets focus on 1 car a day, get it right. Remember we need to master the craft before it becomes easy. Because believe me, in the beginning it's not. It will test you, but I am always at the other end of the phone. We will discuss material costs on the course. I have a supplier to pass you onto who will give you the best deals. Not to mention a roll of film to take away. Theoretically enough to double at least your initial investment. Overheads are minimal. Check out the meet the team page for more information. But a workshop big enough for a single vehicle is all you need. I have had a shop with 4 offices, staff, but lost sight of the reason I started this, and that was to have the freedom to be able to watch my daughter grow. So, I run out a workshop big enough for 2 cars. Just me, aim 2-3 cars a day, home in time for some quality family time.

How much does it cost?

So, the course is a 1-2-1 course unlike some group courses. But you're looking £1150 for the 3-day course. With this though, you are walking away with a full 30-meter roll of film, worth over £300, a full tool kit worth over £200, and 3 days' worth of the best training I can see anyone giving on the market. I am here to give you what I wish I got. For perspective if you read above, you can tint 3-4 cars daily, at £160 average giving over £600 a day. A roll will tint 20 cars roughly. The ROI on the course in my opinion is fantastic value. Part of the course is how to gain clients, how to get on board with your local dealerships for the regular income.

What do I need to get started?

You need the initial payment to be booked onto the course (if you have a team, we can discuss a discount for a 2nd or 3rd person) you need a space to work from, the drive to go out there and make a name for yourself. Everything else you will need you will get from the course, ie a roll of film and toolkit. I consider it a minimal overhead business
